FXPRIMUS, a global forex broker, has teamed up with BitPay, one of the major bitcoin payment processors, and has started to accept funding with bitcoin.

The brokerage firm based in Cyprus is fully licensed to offer trading services and is regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

One of the leading forex brokers now supports funding with bitcoin to help  traders diversify their trading portfolio. FXPRIMUS named this step as a “risk-reduction strategy” coinciding with its safe-trading philosophy.

Terry Thompson, CEO and Director of FXPRIMUS stated:

“With security at the forefront of our operations here at FXPRIMUS, we are now delighted to announce the appointment of BitPay - an experienced and established provider of the virtual currencies. This announcement forms part of our overall efforts to increase our range of offerings to our clients worldwide, whilst not compromising on safety.”

By using Bitpay’s advanced payment protocol technology, FXPRIMUS can now accept payments from various bitcoin wallets. The technology enables users to withdraw easily deposited bitcoins back to the wallet that was used to fund the account. The broker expects bitcoin acceptance to improve its standards of safety and security while lowering risks of fraud.

Being one of the world leading bitcoin payment processors, Bitpay helps more and more companies to integrate bitcoin as a payment method. As we reported recently, in 2015 Bitpay has established partnership with six payment companies, including PSPs Payfirma, Sonic Payments, BillPro, Kadu, OpenPay, and Ixopay. In 2014, the company was processing around $1 million a day in bitcoin payments.
