An online shop AutoPartsWay.com has adopted bitcoin digital currency as one of their payment methods. The US-based retailer also ships items to Canada and the UK.
The bitcoin option has been added to traditional ways of paying for purchases, such as plastic bank cards and PayPal. The reason was the growing demand from the customers, according to AutoPartsWay. Bitcoin will allegedly improve user experience and facilitate transactions.
“Online retailers have been flocking to accepting this new digital currency. The auto industry has been known for remaining static. AutoPartsWay is changing that reputation and spearheading the way as the first auto parts online retailer accepting Bitcoin,” the announcement on the website claims.
The shop owners cite the lack of bitcoin adoption in the auto parts industry.
“Today, making purchases online must be fast and easy to process and accepting Bitcoin does just that for customers. Imagine that, we are living in the futuristic world in which the concept of currency and trade is being re-explored to include a commerce system based on a new digital currency,” the notice continues.
