Finopolis-2016 in the city of Kazan will focus, among all, on the use and regulation of blockchain. The event is hosted by the Bank of Russia and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The forum’s declared mission is to support the introduction of groundbreaking technologies in the financial sector. The participants will discuss the questions of cooperation between regulators and financial companies and present solutions for digitalisation of the financial market. The programme includes breakout sessions on the regulation of digital technology, use of blockchain, BigData tools and artificial Intelligence development in Russia.
There are two plenary discussions to be held as part of Finopolis-2016. The first session covers the prospectives of the financial market development until 2026 and will be moderated by German Gref, the head of Sberbank. The second debate deals with cybersecurity and will be chaired by Kaspersky Lab’s CEO Eugene Kaspersky. Among other expected participants are the Governor of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina, CEO of Moscow Exchange Alexander Afanasiev and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
In addition, Finopolis-2016 in partnership with the federal accelerator Generation S organises a fintech startup competition. The jury will select 18 most promising projects to be presented at the event. More detailed information is available on the website of the event.
