The main demand of the Russian financial authorities for cryptocurrency companies is compliance with money antilaundering rules and fundamental absence of fraud, said the deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Finance.

The main goals of the cryptocurrency regulation are counteraction to money laundering and protection of investors' interests, said Russian Deputy Minister of Finance Alexey Moiseev, speaking at the Moscow financial forum.

"My goal is not to hinder you. Guys, you can work, just behave decently: do not launder money and do not deceive customers. This is all that the Ministry of Finance requires," Moiseev said.

He drew attention to the fact that the cryptocurrency market represents a high-risk sphere, and unqualified investors can lose money.

For this reason, Russia should not be in a hurry with the development of the cryptocurrency industry, said Dmitry Peskov, the Russian president's special envoy for digital and technological development.

"We need rapid development, but we should not be the first on this path. This is a simple strategy of the Russian state, it has been used quite successfully in recent years. Let's call this strategy 'fast second'", Peskov said speaking at the Moscow financial forum.

This strategy will allow Russia to learn from other countrie's mistakes.
