The Agency for Strategic Initiatives is elaborating mechanism for the employment of blockchain in Russian education. The head of “Young professionals” ASI department Dmitry Peskov told TASS.

“We are currently discussing the employment of technologies to enhance universities’ activity and the education system because we need a solution to record all citizens’ achievements in their professional life beginning with secondary school”, Peskov said.

According to him, the employment of technologies to these spheres will enable the abandonment of paper employment record books and diplomas since the registry will contain all necessary information about each citizens’ professional activity. “The programs of digital economy implies a gradual transition to individual profiles of competence: the record of our real skills that will be ensured by our employers and partners”, Peskov explained.

He also added that the distributed ledger technology can be more effective if it is employed on a field basis. “Rosreestr can serve as this field where ownership rights can be secures via blockchain”, said the expert. It was revealed earlier that the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreestr) could become the first case of blockchain employment in Russia for the needs of state governance. The blockchain system could enable the transfer of ownership rights via blockchain.
