Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz won a bet against crypto critic Nouriel Roubini, who should now wear a T-shirt that says “I love bitcoins.”

According to billionaire Mike Novogratz, CEO of Galaxy Digital, he won a dispute with renowned economist and fierce cryptocurrency critic Nouriel Rubini, who for many years wore the sobriquet "Dr. Doom" for predicting the world economic crisis in 2008-2009. Novogratz tweeted:

Novogratz recalled that during a panel discussion at the SALT 2019 conference in Las Vegas in May, he addressed Roubini with the words:

“Bitcoin is at $6,000 now. If at Christmastime it's above $6,000, you have to wear a shirt that says, 'I love bitcoin.' If it's not, I will wear a T-shirt saying, 'Nouriel was right.'”

Currently, bitcoin is trading above $7100, trying to overcome local resistance at $7500- $7600.

However, it is worth noting that Roubini did not take part in the dispute and did not agree to such betting conditions. Moreover, he said that he does not care about cryptocurrency and its price.

Roubini, who became known for predicting the 2008 financial crisis, called cryptocurrencies “the mother and father of all bubbles”, saying that bitcoin is “the biggest bubble in history.”
