Sync.com, a private cloud storage and file sharing platform, announced that bitcoin was now accepted as a payment option.

The company has teamed up with BitPay, a bitcoin payment processor, and offers its clients a reliable alternative to cloud datastore services, like Dropbox, using a zero-knowledge encryption.

Thomas Savundra, CEO of Sync, said:

“With Bitcoin, our customers can enjoy absolute privacy in the cloud for both their data and payments.”

He also stated that the company considers customer data privacy as a major priority. Savundra noted that they have no access to the data stored on their servers.

“And while we continue to offer traditional forms of payment such as credit card, Bitcoin is a win for our customers, and a win for privacy in general.”

Sync.com is a cloud storage platform that is already used by more than 100,000 customers and businesses from all over the world. The zero-knowledge storage platform provides end-to-end encryption which guarantees absolute data privacy and security in the cloud.
