BitHappy, a new platform with the ambition to advance e-commerce with the use of Bitcoin, is due for release in December 2015. It allows individuals and retailers to sell their goods and services online via an application that is positioned by its developer as the “first bitcoin browser.”

The main ambition of the new platform is to make e-commerce using bitcoin the easiest possible.

For sellers, the e-commerce offers to post their advertisements with a photo, description and price in local currency which will be automatically converted to its bitcoin equivalent. BitHappy also acts as a point of sale platform that is designed for merchants who own physical store locations in order to enable bill payments in bitcoins.

For buyers, BitHappy provides a simple search engine to look for sellers/businesses in their neighbourhood. BitHappy comes integrated with Mycelium bitcoin wallet so that customers could pay invoices for chosen goods with the digital currency.

Apart from offering e-commerce possibilities, BitHappy is supposed to serve as a fund-raising and donation platform. It is also believed to be a solution to those unbanked, especially to individual entrepreneurs who are interested in selling their products without setting up necessary trading facilities such as a shop and bank account.

According to the developer’s website, BitHappy is not supposed to charge any transaction fee for purchases made over the platform. Besides, one of the declared advantages of the platform is its intuitive user-friendly interface.

The BitHappy application will be released in December 2015. The developer company positions the novelty as “an alternative to the existing mobile payment system that ends financial exclusion” and as the service of the same significance to bitcoin the “Netscape 1 was to the Internet.”
