Seven enthusiasts from Russia and Belarus are travelling across eight European countries and living only on bitcoins to shoot a movie about the role of the cryptocurrency in everyday life.

The series of reality-show episodes will tell about the philosophy of the digital currency bitcoin basing on personal experience, the participants of the project claim. This is, in fact, the second bitcoin movie made by the Russian team.

The group is going to drive 6,000 km across Lithuania, Belarus, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia in just 10 days. The tour starts on 26 February. They plan to shoot 5-6 short movies, 15 minutes each, to be then united into one full-length film about living on bitcoin in different countries.  The first part will be published on the first day of the trip. It will expand a bit more on the aims and objectives of the group. The following episodes will be appearing throughout March. The main language of the film is Russian, but it will be translated into English shortly, the authors promise.

“We are bringing with us everything we need for reporting: a couple of cameras, a tripod, microphones. We are heading to Vilnius via Minsk, then from Klaipeda we'll take a boat to Kiel. Then via Hannover to Amsterdam. On the way back to Russia we're making a loop up to Berlin, then to Austria and Poland and then back to Minsk,” the leader of the project Alexander Bezzubtsev said.

The team's first bitcoin movie Cryptocurrencies: The Gold of the Digital Age was released in October 2015 in Lipetsk, Russia. Initially, they had even received an official offer from one of the central TV channels Russia 1 but in the end, the state company withdrew the contract explaining that the topic “has lost its relevance.” Well. The officials suggested the team to hand in the materials to the archives. However, the group secured support from Roger Ver and the bitcoin community, and raised 31 bitcoins through crowd funding.
