A record number of fintech startups are planning to take part in the International Blockchain Week in Shanghai. About 30 of the 100 applicant projects will be presenting themselves at the Demo Day.

The registration for the Devcon2 blockchain conference in Shanghai is now closed and the tickets are almost sold out, Ethereum Foundation representative George Hallam told CryptoCoinsNews. The few remaining tickets may be purchased via a separate event web page. Devcon2 will take place on 19-21 September and will be a part of International Blockchain Week, which will last until 24 September. The event is organised by the Ethereum Foundation together with Wanxiang Blockchain Labs. The previous Devcon conference was held in London in November 2015.

When Devcon2 is finished, the Demo Day will be held with about 100 projects having applied to attend, one of the media sponsors, founder of ChainB Chinese IT media outlet James Gong says as quoted by CCN. According to him, 30 blockchain-oriented startups were selected to present their projects to investors.

They include the blockchain verification developer BitSE, creator of an operating system for blockchain development Qtum, cryptocurrency startup Digix, exchange platform Decentralized Capital (DC), trading service Velocity, safety systems developer Key Solutions and others. The Demo Day is scheduled for 22 September. Applications are accepted until 31 August.

The remaining two days will host the events of international blockchain summit with panel discussions on the industry development.

The participation cost for the International Blockchain Week in Shanghai ranges from $1,200 to $2,000 per person, depending on the number of events included.
