A global online lawyer directory with a database of 1,400,000 lawyers started accepting bitcoin payments, offering a 10% discount to bitcoin users.

Lawyer.com now accepts payments in the virtual currency bitcoin, says the press release of the company. Moreover, a 10% discount on all the services is offered to both existing and potential customers of the company if they pay in bitcoin. For instance, a Premium Membership fee is $99 per month but only $89 per month if you pay with bitcoins. It became possible because of lower processing fees associated with bitcoin, says Gerry Corman, the CEO of Lawyer.com:

“Bitcoin transactions reduce our costs, improve transaction speed and provide full billing transparency. In return, we can offer our services at significant savings.”

Gorman advises the customers of the company to buy bitcoin, signing up for a Coinbase or Bitpay bitcoin wallet. He believes that using bitcoins is not just practical, it is a fun:

“Bitcoins will account for $20 billion in payments in 2015 and the number of user wallets has doubled to 10 million worldwide in the last year. We are always looking for ways to deliver more value to our Members and Bitcoins are an exciting and fun way to do so.”
