CoinJar, one of the few remaining Australian bitcoin exchange platforms, enables bank account deposits via online payment service POLi.

Contrary to the majority of exchange platforms, which left the country once its authorities decided to make bitcoin subject to taxation, CoinJar continues to develop its array of services. On its website the company has announced that “Verified Australian CoinJar users can now make bank account deposits using POLi”, an online payment option which “facilitates a Pay Anyone internet banking payment from user’s bank account to a merchant’s one.”

The site specifies that POLi deposits up to $500 will be cleared without any delay, while transfers above that amount will take 1-2 business days to be processed. Moreover, CoinJar declares its intention to make deposits via POLi completely free of charge.

The analysts comment that online banking is bringing about more handy deposit and withdrawal techniques to bitcoin exchanges and enables bitcoin purchase deposits to be processed much faster.

CoinJar is one of the leading Australian bitcoin start-ups. In February 2015 it issued a new bitcoin debit bank card, CoinJar Swipe, that was declared to allow payments in bitcoins in any place where ordinary cards are accepted and money withdrawals at any ATM.
