ROKOS V4, a new operating system for Raspberry Pi with integrated bitcoin nodes, has been released.

The “core” comes with bitcoin client/node and with an OK Cash client/node. It is released on 25 December and can be installed on Raspberry Pi. This is a free solution for every Raspberry Pi user who wants to get acquainted with bitcoin, writes Raspberry’s forum.

Raspberry Pi 2 model B is the second generation of Raspberry Pi, replacing the original Raspberry Pi 1 model B+. It was introduced in February 2015.

Raspberry Pi is a small, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a standard PC and uses a standard monitor. Its main utilisation is to explore programming in languages like Scratch and Python. Raspberry Pi is originally designed as a predominantly educative device and is aimed at kids who want to study computing.

Before 25 December people willing to run a bitcoin node had to install it on a standard computer or buy a Raspberry Pi device with a pre-installed node, which was rather expensive. The ROKOS operating system seems to provide a cheap solution to turn Raspberry Pi into a bitcoin node.
