The Spanish payment platform Cripto-Pay has announced its collaboration with OkCash. The first of many joined projects is the integration of the OkCash cryptocurrency.

The uptake of OkCash was announced by both companies through their twitter accounts on 8 January and confirmed on the Cripto-Pay’s blog a week later.

Thanks to the deal, Cripto-Pay users now have access, through their Cripto-Pay wallet, to the cryptocurrency and can both buy and sell it. According to the companies, this is just the first step in a series of collaborations which will be regularly announced through social media.

The event has attracted attention of various news outlets. Bitcoin Rush, which was pronounced by Onalytica as one of the top 100 brands which influenced fintech in 2015, covered the event, referring to OkCash as an “innovative cryptocurrency.” Territorio Bitcoin and CriptoNoticias also reported the new collaboration.

OkCash promotes itself as the “future of social payments” and emphasises how user-friendly, fast, and secure it is. Moreover, it claims to charge the lowest fees in the market: while receiving OkCash is free, sending it costs 0.0001 OkCash regardless the payment’s destination.

Launched in August 2014, Cripto-Pay is one of the established players on the Ibero-American market. Hundreds of businesses have incorporated its payment platform, which is compatible also with bitcoin, litecoin and dogecoin. Cripto-Pay offers its services not only in Spain, but also in Chile, Mexico and Brazil.
