Vitalii Daniuk, a strategist, entrepreneur, and digital nomad from Ukraine launched a Skype consulting start-up with no fixed prices and accepts payments in bitcoin.

Daniuk offers mentoring for entrepreneurs and start-ups on a variety of topics, including marketing, investment, e-commerce, analytics, UI/UX strategy, technologies and business models. Clients can choose the sum, currency, and method of payment themselves. Daniuk has done 32 sessions so far and received an average payment of $36 per hour. As bitcoin is Daniuk's preferred method of payment, so far the strategist has accepted the amount of 6 BTC from his clients.

“Bitcoin is a miracle. I store it and I don't cash it out. There are special cards to keep bitcoin, I'm using one of these,” he says.

The anonymised list of payments on the website shows the amounts people chose to pay for different types of service. It also reveals the currency in which they made the payment and the length of the Skype session. Thus one person paid 0.1 BTC for a consultation on project's mission and UX strategy, another paid 0.25 BTC for 90-minute discussion of the strategy of analytics integration, the third customer paid 0.21 BTC for advice on communication strategy and bitcoin.

“I like to be able to help as many entrepreneurs, start-ups and bloggers as I can, disregarding their current financial situation. If the project continues to grow I'll create a platform for consulting that would use the pay-what-you-want model,” the philosophy section on the website reads.

The project started as a random experiment for friends on Facebook and turned out to be in-demand. The consulting is open only for small and medium businesses, start-ups and bloggers. Large companies are not accepted.
