The Department of Economic and Community Development of Connecticut asked the team of Tierion to assist with the survey of 200 top technology companies. Tierion's blockchain service is used to collect and store survey responses for future verification.

Tierion provides a cloud datastore backed by the blockchain. Its main function is to collect data and record it in the blockchain. The platform generates a blockchain receipt with all the information necessary to verify the record. The data processed by Tierion can be then integrated into more than 400 applications such as Google Sheets, Gmail, and Slack. Tierion offers its clients to archive and store customer data, emails, medical, financial and legal records, event registrations and tickets.

This is the first instance of the U.S. Government using a blockchain ledger to store survey data. The goal of the survey is to find out how the State can help tech companies to develop their talent. Tierion's system generated a blockchain receipt for each survey response so that anyone can verify the response without a third party. Tierion sees the political potential of such receipts in the future.
